SUNRISE SWITCH UPDATE: (Summer 2026) - Big news! The design of the Sunrise stem has been finalized and the production mold manufacturing will commence shortly. If all goes well, it should be available before Winter.
The Ambients are based on the original Kailh Choc V1 switch, but are a completely new design, having all their parts redesigned to accommodate the new components required to quieten the typical switch noise. Silicone bumpers have been strategically placed within the new design to buffer both the down and the up stroke of a keypress, all while not creating a mushy feeling while typing.

Exactly whay i hoped for!
I really enjoyed using my Voyager with these after finding that the sunset tactile switches caused some soreness in my fingers. They really were silent, and I loved them! I've used the twilight ones for almost 8 months now, and unfortunately I must report that they are not quite as silent as they used to be (this is with heavy daily use; lots of typing as a software engineer, and also did many hours of typing practice trying to pick up a new keyboard layout). However, it's not loud or annoying by any means, and I would still recommend them.
When I first got my ZSA Voyager, I wasn't completely satisfied with the typing experience. It felt a bit cheap and clacky, especially compared to my previous keyboard, the Lofree Flow. After doing some research to figure out exactly what I was looking for, I decided to try the Ambient Twilight switches.
Honestly, I didn't have high hopes and was just expecting a slight improvement. I'm so glad I was wrong! These switches have completely transformed the keyboard, making it feel incredibly premium and a joy to type on.
If you're on the fence about trying these out, I highly recommend them. You won't regret it.
quick service, very silent with the spacers
I got a ferris sweep ergo keyboard and selected the kailh choc v1 browns, since I liked browns on my regular cherry-sized keyboard. Apparently choc browns are not a great experience, they're really inconsistent and crunchy because of the low-profile nature. So I did some research and found out people really liked Ambient Silent Choc Switches for their ergo keyboards, and I myself and blown away. I got the 35g Linear Twilight, and I have never used switches this nice! Dead quiet, very smooth actuation, nice and light keystrokes, actually phenomenal.
If you use your keyboard for work, or you use it any more than like 2 hours a week, this is an EXCELLENT investment and worth every penny. Absolute game changer.
